If you’re going to be eating carbs, why not make them cuddly and cute? That’s a question that the Japanese have an answer for with their chigiri pan (ちぎりパン). Literally translating into “tear off bread” or “pull apart bread”, this new wave of food trend was started when Japanese convenience store introduced breads that you could pull apart to eat. Since then, it has inspired many recipes that create 3D character breads based on popular films like “Frozen”, “My Neighbour Totoro” as well as widely-adored figures such as Gudetama and Winnie the Pooh.
